About Sadhguru

Yogi, mystic and visionary, Sadhguru is a spiritual master with a difference. An arresting blend of profundity and pragmatism, his life and work serve as a reminder that yoga is not an esoteric discipline from an outdated past, but a contemporary science, vitally relevant to our times.

Hailing from the glorious tradition of Adiyogi, Sadhguru is an accomplished yogi of the highest order and has complete mastery over the science of consecration. Through the process of prana pratishtha (using one’s own life energies), he has consecrated the Dhyanalinga, Linga Bhairavi, and the Adiyogi Alayam, the powerful space where the Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Program will be conducted.

It is Sadhguru’s vision to revive the ancient science of yoga in all its purity and make it available to every individual. As a step towards realizing this vision, he has devised the Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Program. Here, Hatha Yoga will be taught not just for theoretical understanding, but as a living experience.

Teaching Methodology

Designed by Sadhguru, the Hatha Yoga Teacher Training will equip participants to transmit classical hatha yoga in its purest form, as it has been handed down for thousands of years.

With 1750 hours of teacher training, students will learn how to prepare more than 60 different modules. This includes 1-day, 3-day, 1-week, 2-week, and 1-month modules, as well as drop-in classes. Students will learn how to prescribe different modules based on participants’ needs, as well as receive real-life training on different class situations that may arise.

These formats offer the flexibility to teach ongoing Hatha Yoga sessions, one-on-one sessions, and extended yoga workshops.

Teacher Certification

After careful assessment of performance, those students that meet the requirements for successful completion will receive certification from Isha to teach Isha Hatha Yoga as an independent teacher.

For certified teachers, post‐training support will be provided by Isha on various levels. A continuing training process may be required for teachers to maintain their certification on an ongoing basis.
